The end of 2013 saw the finalisations of many exciting projects and training classes. As you can imagine, many jobs never see the light of day publically as they’re intended only for company intranet etc. But below are some of the projects I’ve worked on that I can mention.
First up was a short film I worked as Director of Photography on. LittleVoice Media asked me along to film specific storyboarded shots for a major energy company. Here are some behind-the-scenes pics, and the final film can be seen here.
I was very proud of my friends at Traffic Experiment, who ended up performing their Doctor Who re-working ‘Vashta Nerada’ live on BBC3, exclusively as the house band for the Doctor Who televised after-party. The audience reach for this programme was approx. 1.5million worldwide! To see the original film I made for them, for their track, click here.
Filming and editing training classes continued to happen throughout 2013, in both 1:1 and in workshop format. Here’s a class of great students I taught for BFI.
The Usborne Books at Home yearly Gala and Conference is about to take place in the next few days. In preparation I was asked to film a big series of films in time for the event, many of which will end up on the big screen.
I’ve had many years of contact with Canon UK, either speaking for them at seminars and roadshows, or filming for them. This was a 2 day film job with Paul (ManShed), whereby Canon representatives showed off new cameras in a series of clips.
Balfour Beatty required a vox-pop based clip with dynamic title sequences thrown in for good measure:
Lately I’ve been experimenting with new techniques, both in digital compositions and in photography…more on that soon!
