I’ve been in awe of Lee Jeffries’ portrait images for quite a few years now, as well as just really admiring him as a caring, selfless human being. Already a proud owner of ‘Lost Angels’ and a large print, you can only imagine my delight when my collection grew, and copy #1 of Lee’s latest book, ‘Portraits’, arrived at my door!!
I immediately contacted Lee to sing his praises. The quality of this book is just unbelievable – from the thick leather cover (opened out to cleverly reveal cross-shaped titling) to the textured pages inside, as well as of course the rich and stunning image print. The book itself contains over 220 pages of beautiful portraits, presented with related stories, which when combined, produce an incredibly immersive and emotional experience.
Lee and I both knew that a short, emotional film would really complete the package, and complement ‘Portraits’. I set to work creating some elegant shots (mainly macro) and introducing ‘god ray’ lighting against a black setting. And as bonus, I took a set of photos, but this time with the black book contrasted by a white background.
I tell people all the time to check out Lee’s work, and they always agree his portraits are consistently timeless and iconic. Well now we can all admire such a huge collection in this beautiful book. Order your copy here!
