Nikki Loy is a well respected Oxford-based songwriter musician, and her creativity extended to her storyboarding collaboration with us on this music video. ‘Can I Keep You?’ is an acoustic song with heart-felt lyrics ,and so it was important that visuals and acting matched the beautiful audio.
We arranged a special cinema screening of ‘Can I Keep You?’, and invited Nikki’s family and friends along, as well as any extras who featured in the music video. If you’d like a cinema screening of any future clips we make for you, this can be easily arranged.
Oxford-based ‘Black Hats‘ are a 3-piece band with such energy and passion, and with an ever-increasing number of followers. Infact, we think it’ll only be a short matter of time before they are signed up!
As they admitted, what they’d always lacked was a music video to accompany their fantastic audio. So that’s where we came in.
We filmed them performing ‘Tunnels’, their new single, in both rehearsal studio and in a live environment. In just a few days, it has gone down a treat on MySpace, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo, and it’s also been mentioned by BBC Oxford during a recent interview with the band, and online by MusicInOxford, see here.
So, check their first official music video out: Black Hats - ‘Tunnels’.
We collaborated with Traffic Experiment on this piece, so that we could completely fuse their stunning tracks with wonderful visuals, and to utilise both teams’ valuable inputs. For each track change, we opted for similarly paced visual clips and themes, and transitioned them to follow the music.
